i have issues transfering my ideas into actually words and on paper any advice. that you guys can give me. i want to become better but have no idea.
any advice would be appreciated.
Just read the other posts on this topic, you'll get the idea very quickly.
Hey Jewel! What helps me a lot is just writing about an experience I had to just get started! Or since you have trouble writing thoughts down maybe write a small poem about whatever you like to do for fun! Less is more! Sometimes saying less has a greater impact! :) I hope my advice helps you out a lot! If I may suggest something try writing a poem about your favorite holiday to just see what happens! Dig deep inside yourself I am sure you have a lot of talent inside you! :) I can't wait to see your posts on this board and I can't wait to read what you come up with! :) If you need any help send me a private message or a private quick note and I will try to help you the best way I can! :) Have a great day! Your friend poetry in motion :)
For me, writing doesn't usually come easily unless I either have a random thought that pops into my head, and I say to myself, "wow, I have to write that down," or if I'm particularly inspired by something, like an emotion, or something that happened to me, or even something I read about. I kind of have to go with the flow, and rely on a stream of consciousness style. If I try too hard, and the inspiration just isn't there, everything i try to write just sounds like crap to me. Believe it or not, in my case at least, great ideas really do pop into my head when I'm in the shower sometimes.
it's hard to really give advice on such a thing, because it's different for everybody. For me personally, I find I really have to push myself. Even if I don't feel like writing, sometimes I just have to do it anyway. It's hard to start, but once you do, it usually keeps coming until the next writer's block. One thing you can do too is, even if you're not writing anything, make notes of your ideas. The worst thing is when you have this great idea, but you think "oh, I'll remember that". You might, but probably not.
